The Afghan Development and Security Crisis Conference
ICOS organised a Conference on The Afghan Development and Security Crisis, which was held in London, on Monday, 30 January 2006, on the eve of the International Afghanistan Donors' Meeting.

Participants included newly elected Members of the Afghan Parliament as well as Members of the United Kingdom Parliament, international policy experts and representatives of Afghan associations.

Speakers presented their views on the prospects for social and community rights, the link between the rule of law, security and sustainable development, and the massive and challenging issue of the opium crisis.
